OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

GLOBAL IMPACT TEAM

  • The Global Impact Team (GIT) is a group of individuals passionate about meeting the needs of the impoverished throughout the world and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through acts of service.  This group concentrates predominantly on global issues, raising money and providing mission trip opportunities for those individuals with a passion for cross-cultural missions.  In 2008 this group traveled to Mexico to do hands on ministry in an orphanage.  Future goals include continuing support of this orphanage and raising money to drill fresh water wells in impoverished areas of Africa.  Check out their latest newsletter.

  • The Go Project 2011 - Mozambique, Africa

The Go Project 2011 is a mission trip opportunity for those who wish follow the Lord's commission to" Go into all the world and to preach the gospel."  We are headed for 14 days next year to Balama, Mozambique to continue the work that began in 2009 with drilling a water well and the planting of the Cashew Tree Church.  The 2011 trip plans to plant another church, work with the orphans in children's ministries and possibly do some water well repairs.

A meeting to find out more about this opportunity will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Coopersville Reformed Church at 7 p.m. in their Activity Center.  All are welcome to attend this informal evening.

  • New Church Plant - Rovuma, Africa

"Cashew Tree Church" - New church planted in summer of 2009.  NLCC built church building, Housing for pastor and provided financial salary to indigenious staff to plant this new church in a saturated Muslim community to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to these seemingly forgotten people.
